I know, I know–you’ve been getting a lot of pictures of late. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I always lean towards writing longer rambling posts and lately that feels just too tedious.
Those who know me in real life know that I am a bit of a talker. And when I say a bit, I mean A LOT. I can’t even apologize, as I definitely get it from my Grandpa, who used to sit on the bench outside of the grocery store and talk to everyone that walked by. He truly never knew a stranger. And well, it’s something we all inherited on that side of the family!
That I am a talker must show in my face because I’m stopped on a daily basis, usually by tourists asking for directions. However, if I’m on a subway, bus, or ferry I will not only answer their question(s), but continue engaging them in conversation until we part ways.
As such, it is hard for me to post shorter articles because I feel like I have to entertain you. If I’m entertaining you, then it might as well be 78 pages long and a small missive! And if I can’t write a nice long, entertaining post, well then I just want to share a picture and be done with it! However, I have been working on shorter posts on my other blog, Shezza Speak (shameless plug!). I think (and for those of you who very kindly follow both of my blogs perhaps you can let me know), I’m slowly getting the hang of shorter posts–now I’ve just got to figure out a way to transfer it to this blog!
I will happily take any advice my fellow bloggers and readers have on how to balance it out and what motivates you when you don’t feel like writing anything because writing a typical (longer) post seems just too tedious.
Or maybe you like the silence of the pictures? In that case, I’ll leave you with one of my Grandpa and Granny on their wedding day 🙂
